Dec '14: The implementation of ProSpend to DEFRA and 14 associated ALBs was completed on schedule. One of the main achievements of the project was incorporating over 500 existing spend mapping rules from the different organisations in the network. The solution notably also supports a flexible category structure, where previously unused codings automatically extend the reporting taxonomy. DEFRA now use ProSpend for generating monthly central government reports.
Nov '14: ProSpend 2.5 is released. Some of the key features of this release include:

    Jul '14: Atamis has secured a contract to provide the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) with ProSpend for 2 years. DEFRA, who sourced ProSpend via the G-Cloud 5 framework, is also rolling out ProSpend to 14 of its Arms Length Bodies. The full list of participants is as follows:

  • Jun '14: Tower Hamlets Council has become the second London Borough to use ProSpend. The implementation has been completed in under two weeks.

    May '14: Kent County Council re-selects Atamis as its preferred supplier of spend analytics after conducting a re-tendering exercise.
    Apr '14: Wiltshire Council joins the other Authorities in the South West region with ProSpend.
    Mar '14: ProSpend is now available on mobile devices via the Salesforce1 app. Download the app and log in with your ProSpend username and password to access all your dashboards and search for suppliers, contracts and expenditure.
    Mar '14: Atamiser upgraded. The Atamis back-end database now holds over 800,000 suppliers' details. To future-proof its use for the coming years, we have successfully upgraded the database to run on MySQL 5.6.
    Feb '14: NEPO has been selected as finalist for the GO Awards for procurement excellence in the public sector. Their project to implement ProSpend has been selected for the category of "John F McClelland Collaborative Procurement Initiative of the Year".
    Jan '14: Atamis introduces ProSpend Community, a free add-on service that shares user updates to supplier size, sector and other classifications between ProSpend public sector clients.
    Jan '14:, the comparison website, selects ProSpend for Contract Management and Spend Analysis for 25 users across the business.
    Dec '13: North East Authorities request ProSpend upgrade to facilitate more users and more frequent data loads.
    Nov '13: Atamis launches ProSpend on the AppExchange, making all the rich features of Atamis spend analysis and contract management available to the huge business community already using the platform, via the cloud-based ProSpend App.
    Oct '13: Atamis has completed the initial roll-out of ProSpend to Local Authorities in the North East and Yorkshire and Humber regions. A total of 26 Authorities have been processed and trained in a 6 month period with a combined annual spend of approximately £7bn.
    Jul '13: Sanctuary Group implements ProSpend for spend analysis.
    Jun '13: The Borough of Erewash in Derbyshire becomes our first client in the East Midlands.
    Jun '13: Advantage SW selects ProSpend for a group of 10 Housing Associations. Advantage SW procurement club is a shared service that enables local housing associations and councils to work together to achieve better value through the extra power of a ‘larger client’. In the past 3 years Advantage SW has saved its Members more than £5m.
    May '13: 20 Local Authorities in the Yorkshire region commit to ProSpend for the next 3 years. Under the direction of the YORprocure Programme Board, Yorkshire becomes the third regional implementation for Atamis. The solution was successfully piloted by Sheffield City Council and the full roll-out, starting with Barnsley, Calderdale, Leeds and North Yorkshire, is scheduled for Summer 2013. This project was sourced via the NEPO Framework.

    Feb '13: Atamis is awarded national framework agreement for delivery of spend analytics through an OJEU tender led by Newcastle City Council.
    Jan '13: Mid Essex Health Trust: Atamis teams up with supply-side business consultancy Inverto to improve visibility of spend for this NHS Trust.
    Jan '13: West Sussex County Council select ProSpend for their Spend Analysis and Contract Management for a 3 year period.
    Dec '12: Following the recent LGA 'Consultation on publishing voluntary and community sector spending data', Atamis has upgraded its Sector Research Data Services. Bristol City Council are the first to take up the service.

    Oct '12: Mazars, one of the largest accountancy firms in the UK, uses JDP Procurement to implement ProSpend Contract Management and Spend Analysis.
    Aug '12: London Borough of Sutton looks back in time: Sutton have taken advantage of the trend reporting and auto-classification capability in ProSpend to load 4 full years of historic spend data.
    Jun '12: Atamis introduces two new data services into its portfolio for public sector clients: The Individual Identification service is designed for flagging supplier names that need to be redacted to meet spend transparency requirements. And the Sector Analysis service identifies charity, community, voluntary and other not-for-profit suppliers belonging to the Third Sector.
    Apr '12: South West Councils commissions Atamis for SME Classification services. Following this service participants can analyse SME spend across all authorities in the region.
    Mar '12: Bracknell Forest Borough Council switches to Atamis ProSpend.
    Feb '12: Hertfordshire County Council agrees multi-year, multi-user ProSpend licence. Full press release to follow.
    Feb '12: ProSpend Regional, the benchmarking tool from Atamis, is officially launched. ProSpend Regional allows multiple organisations to share non-confidential spend data to identify common suppliers and collaboration opportunities within each category of goods and services.
    Jan '12: Five further authorities in the South West region join the project, bringing the total number of participants to 37 in the region. Each participant has been assigned access to their own detailed spend data through ProSpend Local, as well as to summary regional data through ProSpend Regional.
    Jan '12: Associated British Ports engage Atamis to extend ProSpend for commodities reporting.
    Dec '11: Atamis officially launches ProSpend, raising the bar for the next generation of Spend Analysis solutions. Combining the competencies of the Procurement Dashboard with enhancements based on customer feedback from over 40 organisations, we believe ProSpend to be the best tool available in the market today for analysing spend and tracking procurement KPIs.
    Nov '11: Third Wave of Councils and Fire and Rescue Services in South West live. Following positve feedback, the project has now been extended to a further 8 Councils, 34 organisations in total with approx. £4bn annual spend.

    Feb '11: Atamis has been awarded the contract under Due North's Supplying the South West Portal to provide spend analysis services to all Councils and Fire and Rescue Services in the South West region. The project which spans 3 years is to include spend classification at line item-level to ProClass 10.2 and to UNSPSC, automated monthly data updates, contract integration / compliance reporting, geographical supply base analysis, invoice transaction analysis, spend transparency and comprehensive regional spend comparison to support collaboration. The project will be divided into 3 'Waves' of authorities who will be introduced to the spend analysis toolset - to be known as ProSpend - between June and November 2011.

    May '10: Spend Transparency Dashboard introduced for local authorities to identify and export details of payments over £500 for publication.
    Apr '10: Welsh Assembly Government appoints Atamis to develop and pioneer performance dashboard reporting using the platform.
    Mar '10: Atamis is delighted to appoint Due North as its first approved Reseller Partner.
    Feb '10: New Category Management features have been added to the Procurement Dashboardto analyse supplier usage across departments.

    ProSpend project is selected as finalist in the Government Opportunities Excellence in Public Procurement Awards 2014/15.

    The project, led by NEPO, to use ProSpend for collaboration in the North East Region was short-listed for the John F McClelland Collaborative Procurement Initiative of the Year Award.

    Atamis would like to congratulate NEPO and the participating Local Authorities for their strong regional vision and superb implementation of the collaborative agenda.
