Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Product Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business objectives and technology solutions by analysing product requirements, user needs, and market trends. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and ensure that our offerings meet customer expectations and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring alignment with product strategy and user needs.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential improvements to existing products.
- Data & Information Analysis: Analyse user data and feedback to extract insights that inform product decisions and enhancements.
- User Stories & Documentation: Create detailed user stories, use cases, and functional specifications that effectively communicate requirements to development teams. Create and maintain client facing documentation to ensure our product is accurately represented and communicated to our end users.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other product colleagues, developers and testers to ensure that product features are developed and delivered according to specifications.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the product lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within product development and contribute to the enhancement of product management practices.
Essential Skills:
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex requirements and make evidence-driven decisions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when documenting requirements and analysing data.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Desirable Skills:
- A relevant product or business analysis certification (e.g. Agile, Prince, IIBA)
- Experience with product & business management tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Slack).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and processes.
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles and experience conducting user research.
- Familiarity with Salesforce
- Background in the relevant or similar industry
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience (e.g Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field)
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a product role, preferably in a software or technology environment
